Game Overview

The idea of the game is to successfully predict the scores of each of the Premiership fixtures posted by this site each week.

The winner will be the person who scores the most points in any given programme of fixtures, according to our scoring section below. Scoring and prizes are explained in detail below.

Be reassured!

Firstly, this prediction game LOCKS-OUT EVERYONE just before the first kick of any given upredictthescore.com programme of fixtures. We go to great lengths to eliminate cheating by locking out all predictions five minutes prior. This security will be monitored regularly and updated when needed. We WILL prosecute anyone attempting to cheat.

These programmes are decided by the administrators at upredictthescore.com and are indicated by a week number. i.e.

Week number 1 or any other week may have Liverpool (or any other club or clubs) playing twice. This is not a mistake.

The Premier League postponements and Sky Sports TV fixtures change regularly so the programmes have to adapt to those changes. This means the number of games to predict in a programme will vary.

Logging In

To log into the system enter your username and password into the Login box on the top left of the Play The Game screen.
If you have forgotten your password then you can request that it is sent to you using the email address you gave when you created your user.

Creating a new User

To be able to participate in the Prediction League you need to create a user profile. This is created by selecting the New User link from the left hand column.

Select a User ID to identify yourself in the prediction league. This can be anything you like as long as it is not already taken by another User.

Enter a password (twice). This is to ensure no-one else can change your predictions.

You must enter a valid email address to join the prediction league. This is used to have your password mailed to should you forget it.

You will be sent an authentication email shortly after creating a new user (check spam mail folder). Follow the email instructions to become a member and start predicting.

Mini League

Once you have Logged in, you will see a block titled Mini League at the bottom of the Menu on the left.

This is where you challenge your friends and colleagues and form your own Mini League within the main league.

Show Joined Leagues

This will list the Mini Leagues that you are a member of.

Join Mini League

This will list the Mini Leagues that you are allowed to join

Create Mini League

This is where the fun starts. Here you create your own Mini League and invite your friends and colleagues to join*

* Friends and colleagues will need to be members before you can invite them to your league. You can invite them at any point in the season, not just when you are creating your league.

Show Owned Leagues

This is where you manage The mini Leagues that you have created.

You can Lock or Unlock your League.

Locked leagues mean that people can join with your invitation only.

Unlocked Leagues are open for anyone to join.

Invite User

Just click to display a list of all current members of which you can invite to your league.

Delete

Delete/Remove your league

Scoring

Points are awarded as follows:

0 Points for a incorrect result. i.e. you predict 3-1 and the result is 1-3.
1 Point for a correct result. i.e. You predict 1-1, the score is 2-2.
2 additional Points for a correct score. i.e. you predict 3-1 and the result is 3-1.

Goal Difference explained

For each correct teams number of goals you score, you receive that number of +goals. e.g. you predict 2 and the team scores 2, you get +2 goals.
For each incorrect number of goals you predict per team, you lose the difference in goals. e.g. you predict 3 and the team scores 2, you get -1 goals.

Prize

A 1st prize is awarded to the member who scores the most points in any given programme fixtures.
There will also be League Winner prizes.
Prizes are awarded as long as 1 point per game score is achieved i.e. weekly programme is 10 games then winner has to achieve 10 pts min 8 games 8 pts etc.
If there is a tie for 1st place then the member with the most correct scores wins, if correct scores are the same then the member with the biggest goal difference wins, if there is ultimately more than 1 winner the Cash Pot will be shared.
If any member achieves 18 pts in any given programme then they will win a free game.

You can change your Mobile/Telephone Number, password, username, icon, email address here.

You can also click on your icon (quick edit) to replace with one of our library icons.

You can submit an icon to the admin for approval of use via email (please note icon will installed into a general library, thus any User can use them).

If unauthorised icons are used they will be deleted.

Logout
Logout from the prediction league.

My Messages
Display any messages that other users have sent to you.

Messaging

You can use messaging to send messages to other users and likewise other users can send messages to you. To send a message to another user, click the icon when you see it next a another user.
